Gone fishin'

LJ: Look at that!
Koru's Daughter: Ducks in a row!

Witness, if you will, the only time either of us will have our ducks in a row. This was taken not far from my place, on a nature trail we locals (having utterly no imagination) call, "The Frog Pond."

I apologize for the recent silence. We are on holiday and behaving like tourists. Regular programming and commenting will return soon.

Thank you for sharing. At least now I can say I know what it looks like when one has one's ducks in a row!

hmmm ... I can't be sure, but ... yes, yes, I'm almost certain I've seen those ducks before. Ducks are like that, you know: swim in a row.

Enjoy your vacation with KD.

So great that you girls are visiting. I'm only a little jealous!

One of those ducks is out of formation.
Did you tell the duck to get back into line?
Was it a confused duck or a duck with an "attitude"?

Hello all.

KD left this morning...with a flight delay of six hours, poor muffin. She was up at 4:00 to catch her 6:30 a.m. flight which left at 12:30 p.m.

I've been beading all day...just wading back into what passes for my normal life.

As to the renegade duck who is out of line? I'm not throwing any stones from my glass pond, darling.

And Lucas, BB - could you at least pretend to be impressed with the formation?

Teri - I figure we should have a blogger convention. I'm voting for somewhere in South America - and I don't intend to return home after.

A Girl - returning soon, Ducks (that was for you H).

And Jess - Be only too pleased to give instruction on how to conduct an orderly, sane, balanced life. You know how I'm just the girl for that, huh?

Much love, everyone. Back and blabbing soon. And I have catch-up on your blogs to do, I believe!

I love the stuffing out of that photo! Can anything in the world give as much joy as the sight of a cavalcade of ducks? Keep on Duckin'!

This "Frog Pond" fails the truth in advertising test. We did not see one single frog. We saw ducks and dragonflies (hey were lovely with metallic turquoise bodies and black fluttery wings) but not a single frog.

It was a lovely garden, anyway. Kinda a Zen Canadian garden with simple little bridges and boulders careful/carelessly scattered everywhere.

By the way, I had a wonderful time. LJ offered the rare opportunity to hang with the locals and see the true face of this region of Canada. I highly recommend this approach to tourism and LJ as a host. Thanks, LJ!

Thusday on the way to work, I saw about 40 geese all swiming in a row. There were several clumps of ducks at the edges, not in any kind of row at all.
