Self-portrait Saturday

Someone asked me what color my eyes are. I took this photograph. No makeup except for my beloved orange lipstick, no tricks, no digital alteration, nothing to hide behind. And I still don't know what color to tell them...

As I'm lazy and wordless, I'm sharing the photo. Still here. Thinking of you all and reading...reading...keeping up with your lives...

I would say sea-glass blue?

Love the 'label' for this entry!

Thank you, D? Did you do that in your head or cut, paste and look it up?

H. Some kind of blue or green or gray. It says blue on my passport.
And PS - I like this label idea. It's more fun than writing the blog (when you are uninspired).

Blue. No, grey. No, blue-grey. No, oh who cares, they're nice anyway.

I counted them manually and then added the picture's word value. By the way, where are your pupils? And why are you so lazy? And why have you forgotten your eye color? Are you using "the dope"? OH MY GOD YOU'RE USING THE DOPE!! You know I heard you can do that in Canada for chronic illness...is that true? Does cigarette addiction count as a chronic illness? >:) BWA HA HA HA!!!

Thank you for the lovely names! I think we have undiscovered talents here - you should all be naming decorating colors and getting paid great boatloads of money for it.

I am NOT using dope, D. (But if you have any...)Here's the shot:
I sat in the corner of the couch, leaning into the pillows. That way, I could rest one elbow steady on the arm of the couch and press the button on the camera. And..how big are your pupils when a flash goes off that close to your eyes? I was going to tell you I was related to Little Orphan Annie, the pupil-less cartoon girl. And I should have known you counted manually...
How DOES one calculate the word value of a picture? That was fascinating.

I love your labels too - how often in a day do I get to read the word "twaddle" - it's fantastic.

Also, love self-portraits - and love that you post them (enhanced/reimagined or not)frequently. Zhoen too. They speak louder than words, or at least more eloquently at times.

Thanks, Mella. I have just enjoyed seeing your post-smashing-into-glass series, too. I particularly liked the one where your husband was laughing at you. And isn't "twaddle" a fabulous word! "Git" is also...as in "old git"... I think the Brits are best at coming up with hilarious words.

Hmmm... they are lovely against your pale skin, and the lippie goes perfectly. But as to the colour, well I don't know, but I'll go with Moonke.
