I am so listening. I am. I'm memorizing every word you speak and at the same time, I'm noticing that your socks are different colors and there is egg yolk on your chin. And this whole conversation you don't think I'm listening to will appear in my next blog. So you might as well forgive me now.

PowWow at Point Pleasant Park: Halifax
Images from my day. A fill-up on joy. Please click to enlarge.
This was my first PowWow, folks. Anonymous (the Drifter)tells me the one where he's from has an attendance of 1500 & draws Native Americans from all over Canada and the States. I loved every minute & took enough pictures to zap my memory card. None of which I could actually SEE at the time, my camera being digital. I also got sunburned within an inch of my life, but it was worth it.
i am so sad that i am leaving canada without exploring the culture of great first nation. A have only two months and have not met no natives here. I am a mongol. An american indian friend told me that north american aboriginal and mongols have same blood running though us. Thank you for great photos, i live so close the Point Pleasant park, but i missed all these wonderful events. dreamcather6700@yahoo.com have been searching for first nation community, art places in halifax.
